WWE Considered Featuring TNA Names During 2024 NXT Battleground Broadcast

The WWE NXT Battleground 2024 Premium Live Event took place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Sunday, June 9. The event was a unique celebration that brought together WWE, TNA, and UFC. Interestingly, WWE considered featuring Gail Kim and other notable TNA personalities during the Battleground broadcast.

In case you missed it, former WWE superstar and TNA legend Gail Kim was spotted in attendance at NXT Battleground. Gail had the opportunity to witness the event’s opening action, thrilling six-woman ladder match for the NXT Women’s North American Championship, where Kelani Jordan became the inaugural champion. Apart from Kim, TNA President Anthony Cicione, Jonathan Gresham and SVP of Content Ariel Shnerner were present as well.

According to Fightful Select, there was a brief consideration to feature the TNA contingent, including Gail Kim and Jonathan Gresham, during the broadcast of the WWE NXT Battleground 2024 Premium Live Event. This inclusion would have highlighted the presence and contributions of notable TNA figures within the event.

With that said, it is to be noted that quite a few WWE Superstars were frustrated with the floor spacing at the venue. Nevertheless, WWE and TNA’s partnership is going well so far, so we’ll have to see how it will continue to develop in the coming weeks.
