The fall of WCW remains a widely discussed topic in the wrestling community, with various factors contributing to its demise. Ric Flair recently attributed blame to Vince Russo and a couple of others for WCW’s downfall. In response, Russo called Flair out, suggesting that Flair may be under the influence of alcohol again.

As previously reported, the “Who Killed WCW?” docuseries, produced by Dwayne Johnson’s Seven Bucks Productions, premiered on June 4 on VICE TV. The series has reignited discussions about WCW’s demise, prompting debates about who was truly responsible for the company’s downfall.

Ric Flair recently offered his perspective on WCW’s downfall, painting it as a “three-headed monster” involving Jim Herd, Eric Bischoff, and Vince Russo. Flair highlighted the dysfunction, animosity, and divisive actions instigated by these individuals as key factors leading to WCW’s demise.

”I’ve Tried To Lay Low On This But Let’s Face It- Who Killed WCW? It’s A Three-Headed Monster! Jim Herd, @EBischoff , And @THEVinceRusso !!! There’s No Individual Wrestler Or Faction That Caused Anything To Kill WCW. It Was The People In Charge That Created Dysfunction, Animosity, And Tried To Divide And Conquer By Lying To Everyone And Involving Themselves In The Promotion Which Was The Ultimate Failure! God, I Could Give You A Thousand More Examples. I Am One To Live Through All Three Nightmares And To Be Saved By The @WWE ! Thank You To The WWE For Bringing Someone Who Was Dead In The Water As A Result Of These Three People Back To Life!”

Vince Russo clearly saw Ric Flair had to say, as he took to Twitter and responded to Ric Flair’s comments, suggesting that Flair may be indulging in rum candy again. Russo expressed gratitude for the credit given to him but also clarified that he doesn’t believe his writing alone could bring down a multi-million dollar company.

Russo pointed out that Flair’s absence from the documentary may have influenced his perspective and emphasized that his use of Flair’s son David and the rest of the family in storylines wasn’t the sole reason for WCW’s downfall.

Looks like @RicFlairNatrBoy is Hitting that RUM CANDY Again!!! Thanks for Giving me that Much Credit. For a Writer to take down a Multi-Million Dollar Company through Words on a Page? I guess I really was Special. Not my fault you weren’t in the Doc, Rick. Sorry, man. I hope you don’t think my excessive use of your son David, and the Rest of Your Family for that Matter—who were all GREAT BY THE WAY—wasn’t the Knife that drew the Company’s Last Blood. Yeah—I failed at Laying Low too.

Vince Russo also named those whom he believes were responsible for WCW’s death and it has been made abundantly clear that Russo and Ric Flair will always harbor animosity towards each other no matter what.
