Drew McIntyre is only days away from, perhaps, one of the biggest nights of his WWE career at WWE Clash at the Castle. He will compete against Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight Championship in his home country of Scotland.
On the June 10 edition of Monday Night RAW, Drew opened the show to address his opponent and his Judgment Day cohorts. In response, Priest proposed a high-stakes match for the main event of RAW, pitting his ally, Finn Balor, against McIntyre.
As per the stipulation, Judgment Day would be barred from ringside should Drew win, or they will be present at ringside as a result of Balor’s win.
With high stakes involved in the main event match for the red brand, Drew McIntyre and Finn Balor went toe-to-toe to secure the all-important win that would have huge implications for WWE Clash at the Castle. The closing moments of the bout saw Damian Priest heading to ringside as McIntyre was closing for the win, followed by the Judgment Day members’ arrival.
This led to Finn Balor taking the advantage for a while, but Drew McIntyre managed to connect with the Claymore to seal the win. With his victory, he has now ensured an even plain field with only him and Priest and Judgment Day barred from ringside at WWE Clash at the Castle.
