WWE Accused by Ryback of Spreading Fase Information on Other Wrestling Promotions

Former WWE Superstar Ryback has always kept tabs on what’s been happening in his former company after his exit in 2016. He has been incredibly critical of the company for several years now and most recently, he accused WWE of releasing false information on other pro wrestling promotions.

The influence that WWE holds over wrestling media has raised concerns among fans, leading to worries about the manipulation of information to shape narratives. A recent incident involving the misrepresentation of viewership figures for AEW Collision on June 1st serves as prime example of this trend.

On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer provided insight into the source of the erroneous figures, attributing them to WWE. Contrary to notions that WWE remains indifferent to AEW or that the rivalry is one-sided, Meltzer emphasized the existence of a pro wrestling war between the two entities. He mentioned the seriousness of this conflict, which extends beyond the squared circle to encompass public relations battles and media manipulation, as he accused WWE of planting negative AEW stories to the media.

“This was a number supplied by WWE. And for those who think like, “WWE’s not concerned about AEW” or “It’s a one-sided thing.” AEW is in a war with WWE. It’s a pro wrestling war. Okay? These pro wrestling wars are insidious. They are brutal. They are both in a public relations war, where one side is far more effective as far as getting news out there and controlling the media because they are afraid of not having access or whatever they are afraid of. WWE obviously, whenever AEW has a badly rated show, WWE makes sure that the fast nationals get out.”

In light of these accusations, Ryback decided to add his own thoughts on the matter. Ryback took to Twitter and claimed that WWE is notorious for spreading false information not only about talent but also about other wrestling promotions. He recalls that when he walked out and expressed his dissatisfaction, WWE immediately claimed he was “sent home.” They then used their partner publications to spread false information about him, tarnishing his reputation. Legal action was threatened, leading to the retraction of much of the misinformation.

Additionally, Ryback alleges that WWE illegally suppressed his social media after he refused to hand over his accounts with a non-disclosure agreement. He labels WWE as “pure evil” and accuses them of doing anything to make others’ lives more difficult and incite their ‘brainwashed’ fanbase to attack. Ryback gave more emphasis on the importance of standing up to WWE and not bowing down to their tactics, boldly declaring that the truth will prevail.

”WWE is notorious for releasing false information not only on talent but also on other wrestling promotions. The day I walked out and told them to f*** off, it was almost immediately put out that ‘I got sent home.’ They then used their partner publications to push out false information about me and damage my reputation. Much of that got pulled after legal action was threatened. They had my social media illegally suppressed after I refused to give them my accounts with an NDA.

These people are pure evil and will do anything to make others’ lives more difficult and persuade their hardcore brainwashed faithful to start attacking. The truth always wins, and you must not back down from the evil empire or its glum gremlin bleacher bums.”

WWE is truly the global juggernaut of professional wrestling and there are a lot of things the company can do that other promotions simply cannot. Nonetheless, we’ll have to see whether Ryback will end up making more accusations against WWE, as that seems quite likely right now.
