The May 28th edition of WWE NXT saw the unexpected debut of former TNA and AEW star Ethan Page, which set up a highly anticipated NXT title match between Page and Trick Williams at NXT Battleground. However, the road to the Premium Live Event has been anything but smooth for Ethan Page.
Following the conclusion of the June 4th episode of NXT, Meta-Four’s Oro Mensah ambushed Ethan Page, resulting in a chaotic brawl that had to be broken up as Page fled to the back. This attack was a retaliation, as Page had previously taken out both Oro Mensah and Noam Dar.
In the lead-up to NXT Battleground, WWE posted a video on Twitter showing Ethan Page arriving in Las Vegas, Nevada. The drama continued as, after arriving at his hotel, Page was ambushed again by Oro Mensah while responding to a question about his feelings ahead of the big match. Security intervened to separate the two.
With these attacks, it has become evident that Oro Mensah might interfere in the NXT Championship match between Ethan Page and Trick Williams at Battleground. This unexpected twist adds a layer of uncertainty to the upcoming title bout, leaving fans eager to see how it will all unfold.
Stay tuned to see how Ethan Page handles this new challenge and if Oro Mensah will indeed play a role in the outcome of the NXT Championship match at Battleground.
