The demanding nature of professional wrestling has claimed another casualty, as WWE’s Asuka was recently seen using a walker, signaling a serious setback.
During a recent episode of Monday Night RAW, Dakota Kai revealed that Asuka had suffered an undisclosed injury, necessitating her withdrawal from the Queen of the Ring tournament.
Asuka herself confirmed the news, announcing a hiatus from WWE television to focus on recovering from a persistent knee injury. This issue first became apparent about two months ago during a segment on SmackDown, where Asuka was noticeably limping.
“After Backlash and the European tour, I had to take a break to treat my knee that I had been hurting for a while. My partners Kairi and Dakota helped me a lot during this tour as I could not move at my best. I am very grateful to both of them.”
Taking to Twitter, the Empress of Tomorrow shared a personal update, posting a photo where she is seen using a walker and wearing a knee brace, demonstrating her determination to heal and return to the ring.
While Asuka’s fans will undoubtedly miss her dynamic presence, her health is the top priority. We wish her a speedy and complete recovery and look forward to seeing her back in action, although it may take some time before she returns to WWE television.
