Andrade El Idolo made a comeback to WWE during this year’s Men’s Royal Rumble match. Since then, the former United States Champion has competed in a few matches but hasn’t done much of note apart from that. He became the WWE Speed Champion this week, and now WWE’s plans for him have been revealed.

During the WWE Draft this year, Andrade was drafted from RAW to SmackDown and fans wondered when he would finally compete on the show. They didn’t have to wait long as Andrade defeated Apollo Crews on the May 31st edition of Friday Night SmackDown. He would also begin a storyline with Legado Del Fantasma before this.

During the latest set of WWE Speed tapings, Andrade would defeat Ricochet to become the new WWE Speed Champion. According to Fightful Select, it was reported that Andrade is expected to appear on Friday Night SmackDown despite his WWE Speed title win.

”We’re told Andrade is still likely to appear on Smackdown despite being booked to win the WWE Speed Championship”

Andrade also questioned Triple H’s booking recently. Nevertheless, we will have to wait and see how well the Mexican Superstar will be booked in the coming weeks, as fans feel he deserves better.
