Will Ospreay, known for his impressive accomplishments in professional wrestling including his current status as the AEW International Champion, recently took a much-needed break following a demanding schedule. After a series of intense matches and numerous appearances, Ospreay took the week off to recharge. During this brief hiatus, Ospreay revealed what kind of special role he took in an indie promotion.

On June 7th, the all-women’s wrestling promotion EVE ran its 123rd event, “One More With Feeling,” at The Big Penny Social in London. The event featured prominent wrestlers such as Skye Smitson, Lana Austin, Session Moth Martina, and Alex Windsor on the undercard. The main event was a six-woman tag team match, pitting Erin Angel, Charlie Morgan, and Jetta against Charli Evans, Millie McKenzie, and two-time EVE Champion Nina Samuels.

The main event was particularly emotional as it marked the final wrestling match for Charlie Morgan and Jetta, two stalwarts of British wrestling. Both wrestlers announced their retirement, choosing to step away from the ring to enjoy time together outside of wrestling.

During the match, chaos ensued, leading to an unexpected moment where producer Will Ospreay entered the ring to restore order. However, he was dispatched with a superkick, sending him into the turnbuckle to the amusement of the crowd.

After the event, Will Ospreay took to social media to express his gratitude to EVE for allowing him to work as a producer.

”Last night I was helping produce for @ProWrestlingEVE I had an absolute brilliant time getting to work with all the girls as they put on such an incredible show from top to bottom. Spoke with Dann & schedule dependent I’ll be about more. Thank you so much for the opportunity to help out in anyway I could, it was such a pleasure to work with you all.”

Will Ospreay won the Casino Gauntlet match and earned the right to challenge Swerve Strickland for the AEW World Championship at Forbidden Door on June 30th, so we will have to wait and see if he will end up becoming a double champion after the pay-per-view.
