Giulia’s unexpected arrival at NXT Stand & Deliver was a significant moment in her wrestling career, signaling a promising future ahead. However, her journey took an unfortunate turn when she sustained a wrist injury shortly after debuting for the Marigold promotion.
Following surgery to address her injury, Giulia has been focused on her recovery, recently being discharged from the hospital and beginning the healing process.
Initially slated to debut against Roxanne Perez at NXT Heatwave on July 7, fans eagerly awaited Giulia’s return to the ring. However, according to Corey Brenan on Fightful Select‘s Q&A podcast, the likelihood of Giulia being ready for the match is slim.
Brenan expressed uncertainty about Giulia’s readiness, estimating a less than 30% chance of her being prepared for the event considering the extent of her injury and the proximity to her surgery.
“Right now I am not confident that match is happening. I would say that there is less than a 50% chance, not even less than 50. There is probably less than a 30% chance that Giulia is ready for that match.”
“She’s got other dates she has to do if she does do it I would be surprised given him the degree of injury and how soon would be after surgery.”
While WWE had plans to introduce Giulia on NXT television, her in-ring return remains uncertain as she continues to recover from her wrist injury. Nonetheless, signs of progress in her recovery indicate a hopeful outlook for her eventual return to action.
