Ex-WWE Wrestler Eyes AEW Debut

There’s some excitement and anticipation surrounding an upcoming championship match between Mercedes Mone and Stephanie Vaquer at AEW’s Forbidden Door event. This is because an ex-WWE star is hoping to debut in AEW.

Before this clash, both champions have their own title defenses to navigate. Mercedes is set to defend her TBS Championship against Zeuxis on next week’s Dynamite, while Stephanie will defend the NJPW STRONG Women’s Championship against La Catalina at CMLL’s Fantasticamania Mexico event on June 21.

Interestingly, Catalina, who previously appeared in WWE as Carolina, expressed her hopes of joining AEW on Twitter, possibly hinting at a potential move to the promotion soon.

Catalina’s tweet suggests she’s eager for an opportunity in AEW and is intrigued by Tony Khan’s involvement. Therefore, we will have to wait and see whether she will debut in AEW eventually.
