Booker T Responds to Trick Williams’ Bold Title Match Challenge

Trick Williams has been booked well as the NXT Champion for the past couple of months and he recently threw down a challenge to Booker T for a match. Booker T has now finally responded to the challenge.

Ahead of his upcoming title defense at WWE NXT Battleground Premium Live Event, Trick Williams has thrown down the gauntlet with an unexpected challenge directed at NXT commentator Booker T. Williams proposed that Booker T step back into the ring for one last match, vying for the NXT Championship.

While responding to the challenge on The Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T took a humble approach. He likened himself to Ronald Reagan, indicating that he wouldn’t exploit his opponent’s lack of experience in this scenario. Booker expressed his admiration for Trick Williams, recognizing him as a rising star destined to make waves in the industry.

Rather than engaging in a match with Trick, Booker T wants to support and guide him as he ascends to greater heights in his career. He sees Trick as the future of the business and wants to play a supportive role in nurturing his success.

“I’m like Ronald Reagan, man. “I’m not gonna exploit my opponent’s inexperience in this situation,”

“[Trick] is getting ready to take over the world. I want to see that kid take over the world. I don’t want to be in there trying to mix it up with this kid or anything like that.”

“I mean, he is the future of this business. I want to be able to step aside and be that dude in the passenger seat navigating this kid’s career to that next level.”

We will have to wait and see how Trick Williams will fare against Ethan Page at the NXT Battleground Premium Live Event on June 9th, as it is certain Booker T will be in Williams’ corner.
