AEW President Tony Khan is deeply passionate about professional wrestling, yet his decisions have often raised eyebrows. Recently, Khan stirred controversy by urging fans to “wake up the bots.”

Back in 2022, the AEW President made a very bizarre claim that all the online AEW haters are paid trolls, insinuating that WWE might have had something to do with it all. Unsurprisingly, this saw him getting criticized for even making such claim.

Tony Khan’s ‘independent study’ of bots targeting AEW extended for a significant period. He even hired IT experts to offer a detailed analysis of the anti-AEW bots.

Ahead of the June 8th edition of AEW Collision, Tony Khan took to Twitter and urged fans to wake up the bots to tell them that Khan and his fans were having fun in AEW before plugging all of his AEW shows.

”Wake up the bots and tell them that we’re having fun over here in @AEW . #AEWDynamite #AEWRampage #AEWCollision #ForbiddenDoor”

Tony Khan also had proof that there are anti-AEW bots and WWE was also accused of planting negative AEW stories to the media. Regardless, Khan is working hard to ensure AEW continues to fire on all cylinders so we’ll have to see how that will turn out.
