Title Match Confirmed for 6/12 AEW Dynamite

Mercedes Mone was interrupted on the May 29th edition of Dynamite when CMLL star and current NJPW Strong champion Stephanie Vaquer made her presence felt. The two are set to clash at Forbidden Door and it appears AEW has booked a title match for Mone for next week’s episode of AEW Dynamite.

AEW President Tony Khan took to Twitter and announced a huge TBS Championship match as Mercedes Mone will be defending her title against CMLL star Zeuxis.

If Zeuxis wins the title on the June 12th edition of Dynamite, then the title vs title match between Mercedes Mone and Stephanie Vaquer will only be contested for the NJPW Women’s Strong Championship at Forbidden Door on June 30th.

”If @ZeuxisLucero wins the TBS Championship from Mercedes Moné on Wednesday Night in Des Moines at #AEWDynamite on TBS, + she then takes the title to @CMLL_OFICIAL , then @Steph_Vaquer vs @MercedesVarnado at #ForbiddenDoor will be for the @njpw1972 Strong Women’s Championship only!”

AEW’s strategy for Mercedes Mone at Forbidden Door has also been revealed. Nevertheless, we will have to wait and see how Mercedes Mone will fare against the formidable Zeuxis.
