The Rock was a cornerstone of WWE for many years, and his return at the start of 2024 drew significant attention on the road to WrestleMania 40, which was evident with the traction and numbers it did for the global juggernaut.

Moreover, The Great One returned to in-ring action after eight years at WrestleMania 40, teaming up with his iconic cousin, Roman Reigns, to defeat the duo of Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins on Night 1 of WrestleMania 40.

With The Final Boss showing that he still has a lot of gas left in the tank, NJPW star Gabe Kidd issued a warning to The Rock. During a recent interview with WRESTHINGS, Kid labeled him as a “part-timer” and vowed that he would lay a vicious beatdown should he decide to come to Japan for some “real wrestling.”

“Hey, fuck The Rock as well. I’ll beat the shit out of The Rock. I’ll slap the shit out of The Rock, little part-timer. You want some real wrestling, come to New Japan.”

Whether he chooses to wrestle in Japan someday is yet to be seen. However, during his last appearance on WWE television, The Rock hinted at a future showdown with the current Undisputed WWE champion, Cody Rhodes.

With The Rock balancing his Hollywood commitments and other endeavors, it remains to be seen when The Great One will return to WWE to continue his feud with the man positioned to become the next face of the company.
