The May 28th edition of WWE NXT was filled with surprises for fans, as Jordynne Grace made a significant impact with her appearance. Making her in-ring debut on NXT this week, Grace admitted to being taken aback by Triple H’s endorsement prior to her NXT in-ring debut.

By the time NXT Battleground concludes, Jordynne Grace will have made three appearances for WWE in 2024. She achieved victory over Stevie Turner during the June 4th NXT episode and participated in the women’s Royal Rumble earlier in January.

While speaking during a sit-down interview with former NXT interviewer and host McKenzie Mitchell, Jordynne Grace opened up about feeling deeply emotional when someone like Shawn Michaels, whom she watched on television while growing up, expressed belief in her and her abilities to show up on WWE NXT.

“We actually had a conversation yesterday where he [Shawn Michaels] said something similar and it’s just like it makes me so emotional like to see that someone you looked up to and watched as a kid just like believes in you specifically.”

Grace further revealed that she experienced a moment of surprise and overwhelming gratitude when she stumbled upon a tweet from Triple H, in which he hyped her up, signaling his endorsement and support.

“I was backstage yesterday and I was just scrolling on my phone and whether it’s from you know Triple H’s personal account or whether someone runs it for him, I saw a tweet come up from him like where he tweeted something like, ‘If you haven’t seen the TNA Knockouts before, you’re in for a treat’ and I was just like, [acts surprised] ‘What is even happening right now?’ Like DX is just like [my biggest fan] and I have both of their numbers in my phone. I just, I don’t know what’s happening.”

There’s a lot of anticipation surrounding Jordynne Grace’s NXT Women’s Championship match against Roxanne Perez at NXT Battleground on June 9th. Fans are eagerly awaiting to see how Grace will fare in this highly anticipated showdown.
