Cody Rhodes was in no mood for games, as seen during the June 7 edition of Friday Night SmackDown after AJ Styles’ fake retirement led to a vicious beatdown on Rhodes at the end of SmackDown last week.

The American Nightmare had revenge on his mind, waiting for AJ Styles in the parking lot all night. When The Phenomenal One arrived, the security guards separated the duo before Rhodes headed to the ring to call him there to settle scores.

Styles arrived with Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson, although Nick Aldis and his security team also rushed to the scene. AJ began by dismissing Cody’s wishes and demanded an Undisputed WWE Title match at WWE Clash at the Castle.

Not second guessing once, Rhodes accepted the challenge but raised the stakes by wanting to face AJ Styles in an “I Quit” match. However, emotions ran high as Cody tried to get his hands on him, only for Styles to hit him with a sucker punch as their match was made official.
