The wrestling world has seen a plethora of stars from different promotions get injured. From small injuries to missing up months from the calendar year, the market is at an interesting phase right now. Samoa Joe defeated MJF a few months ago to become the new AEW Champion. While Joe has lost his title, the faith remains at the same place.

MJF made a surprising return to AEW TV at Double or Nothing 2024. The former champion hinted that his feud with long time friend Adam Cole was far from over, getting fans from all around the world excited. However, Cole isn’t the only one MJF has had a problem with since return.

In a recent interview with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, MJF discussed his past match with Samoa Joe at AEW Worlds End and offered his thoughts on Joe’s status as a star. The former AEW champion notably expressed his desire to “take a bite out of Joe’s face” in the coming weeks. Additionally, MJF called out fellow wrestlers who take extended breaks when injured.

“As far as that Samoa Joe match goes, full transparency, my shoulder was so messed up I couldn’t even do cardio. When I ran, my arms would swing slightly–and the pain that would cause was unbearable. But I got in the ring that night to do my job. Frankly, I find that interesting. A lot of people in my generation are p***ies.”

“Please print that. They’re too afraid to get in there when they have a boo-boo. That’s not how I operate. I take my job very seriously. If you put MJF on the top of the billing, I’m showing up. And one more thing about that match. Joe’s a tubby little b—-, and if we ever wrestle again, I’m going to bite his face off. I will give him credit.”

MJF is set to recover and get back to normal in the next few weeks. MJF engaging in a feud with Cole is an interesting idea to watch. However, he wasn’t done. MJF now has his sights on Logan Paul of WWE lately.
