MJF’s absence from AEW television left wrestling fans pondering his future, particularly since his last appearance was at AEW Worlds End last year. However, speculation came to an end when MJF made a triumphant return at AEW Double or Nothing last week. Interestingly, he has now revealed that a move to WWE was indeed a genuine possibility for him.

Amidst a dramatic video unveiling a corridor adorned with his relics, MJF finally made his highly anticipated return at Double or Nothing, disrupting Adam Cole’s presence in the ring. Wasting no time, he hit a low blow on Adam Cole and effectively ended his storyline with The Devil.

MJF addressed whether he considered the possibility of going to WWE during a conversation with Sports Illustrated. MJF made it clear that it was definitely a very real possibility.

“Of course there was,” said Friedman. “Am I going to get into the weeds? No. At this point in time, this move made the most sense for me.

“I’m making a ton of f—— money. As far as when the contract ends, that’s nobody’s business but my own.”

MJF is set to make his return on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, so we will have to wait and see what The Salt of The Earth will have to say for fans in attendance on the show.
