John Cena held the enviable title of being the face of WWE from 2006 to 2016, captivating audiences with his charisma and prowess in the ring. He’s now bona fide star in Hollywood and in other mediums as well, which is why fans aren’t surprised he has received a Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Award nomination.
John Cena has always made sure to give it his best no matter what role he is given and his Hollywood accolades as of late speak for themselves. This includes his roles in films such as ‘The Suicide Squad’ and ‘Peacemaker’ and even the ‘Fast & Furious’ movies.
According to Deadline, John Cena has been nominated for a Nickelodeon Kids Choice Award. Unlike his attention-grabbing appearance at the 2024 Academy Awards, Cena is unlikely to repeat the same wardrobe choice if he attends the awards show next month.
Cena is nominated in the “Favorite Movie Actor” category for his portrayal of Jakob Toretto in Fast X. However, he faces tough competition from fellow nominees such as Adam Sandler (Danny Friedman, You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah), Chris Pratt (Peter Quill, Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 3), Jason Momoa (Arthur, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom), Paul Rudd (Gary Grooberson, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire), Ryan Gosling (Ken, Barbie), Ryan Reynolds (Cal, IF), and Timothée Chalamet (Willy Wonka, Wonka).
The Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2024 will be hosted by SpongeBob SquarePants (voiced by Tom Kenny) and Patrick Star (voiced by Bill Fagerbakke). The event will premiere live from their undersea home of Bikini Bottom on Saturday, July 13, at 8 p.m. (ET/PT). It will also be simulcast across various Nickelodeon networks, including Nickelodeon, TeenNick, Nicktoons, the Nick Jr. channel, TVLand, CMT, and MTV2. We will have to wait and see whether Cena will end up winning the award in the end.
