Former WWE superstar Jinder Mahal was an exciting addition to the roster. After returning to WWE in 2016, Mahal experienced a notable run, including a WWE Championship reign.

Despite being one of the formidable superstars with huge potential, his career with WWE ended when he was released in April 2024. This also ended hopes for Mahal who wanted to do a babyface run after staying a heel for his entire run.

During an interview on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Jinder Mahal shared his reaction when Van Vliet praised his theme song. When further asked if he remembered hearing his theme song for the first time, the former WWE Champion admitted he initially wasn’t impressed. Jinder Mahal even provided samples that were quite different from the final product, but over time, he began to love his WWE music.

“I didn’t actually like it that much at first because it wasn’t what I had envisioned. I had given them other Punjabi songs as inspiration, including some by Diljit Dosanjh. But over time, it grew on me, and now I love it.”

Regardless of his initial reaction, Mahal’s theme song was widely popular, especially among the Indian audience. On the other hand, ,Jinder Mahal is now set to make his first wrestling appearance since WWE release. So it will be interesting to see the next chapter of his career outside the global juggernaut.
