The conclusion of last week’s WWE NXT episode featured the unexpected arrival of former AEW star Ethan Page making a significant impact by attacking NXT Champion Trick Williams and generating a buzz among the fans.
Ethan Page made a grand entrance on this week’s June 4th edition of WWE NXT, where he gave General Manager Ava a tough time negotiating a contract with her brand. Giving in to his demands, Ava organized a sit-down interview with Page.
However, Ethan Page lived up to his “All Ego” nickname, boasting about his superiority and declaring that he was done waiting for opportunities—he was ready to seize them. This declaration sparked a heated argument between Ava and Ethan Page, which was only interrupted when NXT Champion Trick Williams joined the fray.
The confrontation escalated as both men exchanged heated words. Ultimately, Ava agreed to his demands and Ethan Page signed the NXT contract. Not only that, he also got himself an NXT title match at Battleground as per the contract. According to a new update by Fightful Select, Page’s promo work in the contract signing segment received massive praise from the management.
“No surprise, but Ethan Page’s promo work in the main event segment received praise from those we spoke to.”
Moreover, with the stage set for a major title showdown at NXT Battleground, it will interesting to see if Ethan Page could make history at the groundbreaking event and win the NXT Championship in his very first for the Black and Gold brand.
