Popular wrestling star Lio Rush made his debut at AEW’s Double or Nothing pay-per-view in 2021, but his time with the company was short-lived. However, Lio surprised fans with an appearance on last week’s AEW Dynamite episode.
He competed in the Casino Gauntlet match in the main event with a coveted AEW World Title opportunity on the line. Despite an excellent showing by Lio Rush, the match was won by Will Ospreay.
Recent reports stated that Lio Rush’s return to AEW was planned nearly a week in advance and Rush had always left the door open for a potential comeback, Despite his previous departure, Moreover, according to a new update by Fightful Select, AEW remains open to utilizing Lio Rush in the future, although no definite plans have been confirmed.

During his previous stint with AEW, Lio Rush participated in just five matches, a limited run primarily due to injuries. These physical setbacks even prompted a brief retirement from wrestling.
