Mercedes Mone is known for her fearless attitude towards achieving success and gaining recognition, but she is also highly regarded for her steadfast support of those she trusts. Recently, it seems she issued a warning to Stephen A. Smith.
On ESPN’s First Take, Stephen A. Smith claimed that his NBA sources had informed him that Jaylen Brown is not well-liked because of his ego, which impacts his marketability. In response, Brown took to Twitter, challenging Smith to disclose his sources.
While speaking to TMZ Sports, Mercedes Mone was asked if she wanted to confront Stephen A. Smith. She criticized Smith for accusing Jaylen Brown of having a big ego and made it clear that she took issue with his comments and warned that Smith would go ‘bankrupt’ if he appears on AEW Dynamite.
“I’m wearing green for a reason. We are the city of champions for a reason. There is a reason why I picked the boss in Boston. Stephen Smith, whatever his name is, he wants to say that Jaylen Brown has a big ego. He has a big ego. He can’t even be a superstar. I’ve done and dealt with haters my whole career. Jaylen Brown goes out there and shows that he is a champion. Every single game. So just prepare for another championship from Boston Bay because we’re going to go out there and we’re going to get it.”
“Oh, he’s[Stephen A. Smith] about to get bankrupt. That’s for sure.”
This is the second time she defended Jaylen Brown this week and it might continue for a while. Regardless, we’ll have to wait and see if Mercedes Mone and Stephen A. Smith ever come face to face.
