Shawn Michaels Eager to Explore UFC Performance Institute Before 2024 WWE NXT Battleground

WWE NXT Battleground 2024 has a lot of hype behind it because it will be WWE and UFC’s first collaborative effort and so fans are obviously very excited for the Premium Live Event.

NXT Battleground is set to take place on Sunday, June 9, 2024, at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. Similar to the WWE Performance Center, the UFC has its own training facility known as the UFC Performance Institute. This facility hosts events and provides athletes with a dedicated space to train and hone their skills.

Appearing on the Arash Markazi Show, Shawn Michaels discussed the synergies between WWE’s Performance Center and the UFC Performance Institute and made it clear he is looking forward to visiting the UFC Performance Institute and see just how well it will synergize with the WWE performance center.

“I know that we are very excited about going out there, and that is one of the big ‘to do’ lists, to physically get to see it. We have talked a little bit with their folks out there. For someone who came from being a wrestling fan and then went through the territories, that’s how I learned; it is very different now. The science that goes behind theirs and ours, and how all that has changed, is truly fascinating. Theirs is different from ours and probably has multi-faceted of science that wouldn’t vie in our line of work, but still fascinating. Our team is definitely looking forward to going out there and seeing what we can glean from what it is they do and if there is anything they can get from what we do. Everyone is looking advantages in this day and age to make their fighters and performers the best they possibly can. Whatever it is you can do to enhance that, we’re always looking out for the latest and greatest on that.”

We have also revealed the betting odds for the NXT Battleground Premium Live Event. It remains to be seen how WWE and the UFC will continue to develop their relationship in the coming months.
