In a move that resonated throughout the professional wrestling community, TKO Holdings announced Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s induction into the company’s Board of Directors. In light of his new position in TKO, Ken Shamrock has now revealed his true feelings on the matter.
The Rock’s role as a part of TKO’s Board of Directors also grants him influence over his choices. It was also suggested that he has more influence than Triple H as well and he got paid handsomely following WrestleMania 40.
While speaking to Steve Fall for Ringside News, Ken Shamrock was asked to share his thoughts on The Rock becoming one of the Board of Directors in TKO. Ken Shamrock expressed his admiration for The Great One, acknowledging him as an exceptional individual and made it clear he believes The Rock is fit for the role.
“I think The Rock is an incredible human being. If anybody during that time that I had worked with or had been around at that time, he was a Class Act. So, he’s a great person to be in that position and to be able to do what he’s doing in both areas.”
Shamrock went on to praise The Rock’s physical prowess, describing him as a “physical specimen” with remarkable athletic abilities and stated that The Rock was also a very smart individual.
“Rock’s a physical specimen. I mean, like, the guy is incredibly gifted. I believe that if he would have focused on the NFL, he probably could have played in the NFL. He’s just got a lot of athletic ability, man. He’s an intelligent individual. He’s a smart guy, yeah.”
We will have to wait and see whether Ken Shamrock and The Rock will one day end up working together again, as they certainly have a lot of history together over the past few decades.
