Jake Hager’s Role Uncertain Before AEW Exit

Jake Hager, formerly known as Jack Swagger during his WWE tenure, has carved a robust path in AEW since his arrival. He no longer remains in AEW and we have an update in that regard.

As previously reported, Jake Hager is no longer part of Tony Khan’s company. This did not come as a surprise for many fans since the company simply didn’t do much with him anyway.

According to Fightful Select, they reached out to Jake Hager last week concerning reports from BodySlam.net that his contract had expired. Although they did not receive a response from Hager, AEW sources indicated that there were no plans to use him. Despite his retirement from MMA last year, at least one promotion has expressed interest in utilizing him.

Jake Hager announced his retirement from MMA last year and there is no telling what he will do next. We will have to wait and see what will become of Jake Hager now that he isn’t part of AEW.
