Drew McIntyre’s social media game has become a formidable force, characterized by his sharp wit and knack for roasting fellow wrestlers like CM Punk and Seth Rollins. Despite his recent setback at WrestleMania 40, McIntyre shows no signs of dialing back his trolling antics. Recently, he took aim at CM Punk’s fans, pointing out how one fan at a WWE live event wasted their money by purchasing a CM Punk shirt.
The rivalry between McIntyre and Punk reached new heights at WrestleMania 40 when Punk ambushed McIntyre after his match with Seth Rollins. This unexpected attack allowed Damian Priest to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase and claim the title. McIntyre’s betrayal not only led to him losing the championship but also fueled his desire for revenge against Punk.
Since then, McIntyre and CM Punk have traded barbs, intensifying their feud with each passing week. McIntyre even took a page from Eminem’s book, using a rap-inspired shot to further fuel the flames of their conflict.
WWE uploaded a video on Instagram, which showed Drew McIntyre having an interaction with a CM Punk fan at a WWE live event. The fan, sporting a CM Punk t-shirt, caught Drew McIntyre’s attention, prompting him to ask why the fan wore it knowing Punk wouldn’t appear. The fan replied that one can never predict when the Straight Edge Superstar might make a surprise entrance.
In response, McIntyre mocked CM Punk and dismissed the fan’s support for the injured superstar, suggesting he was wasting his money on Punk’s merchandise. McIntyre humorously encouraged the fan to back the Scottish superstar instead, emphasizing that he was always present and available.
”This guy wasting his money. Like Punk would ever show up in Binghamton, New York. One, he’s always injured and two, he’s only at the big towns, brother. McIntyre is always here for you.”
Drew McIntyre also vowed to give CM Punk a title shot after he becomes the WWE World Heavyweight Champion at Clash at The Castle. We’ll have to wait and see when the two will finally square off against each other inside the squared circle.
