Chad Gable turned heel back in April and slowly underwent a massive shift in his character and fans had high hopes for him. However, his contract will be expiring very soon and this has made fans wonder what will become of him.

Chad Gable has long been likened to Kurt Angle due to their shared backgrounds in amateur wrestling and Olympic-level competition. Even during Monday Night RAW and after Friday Night SmackDown last month, Chad Gable started getting ‘you suck’ chants similar to Kurt Angle. Therefore, the belief was that he was going to have a massive push but that’s in doubt now.

While speaking on Fightful Select’s Backstage Report podcast, Sean Ross Sapp was asked about Chad Gable’s WWE contractual status. Sapp noted that Gable’s contract will expire this Friday, 7th June. It was further noted that he is expected to get offers from both WWE and AEW and that he has a lot of leverage.

“Chad Gable’s contract is up Friday. This upcoming Friday. He is factored huge into WWE plans and thus far does not have a new contract. He’s expected to get offers from both companies if he hits that area. That’s one to monitor. He’s got an awful lot of leverage right now.”
