Another WWE contract is on the brink of expiration this summer.
Angel Garza is slated to see his WWE contract conclude on August 1. This intel comes from Fightful Select‘s Sean Ross Sapp and Corey Brennan, following a recent report by Lucha Libre Online indicating the impending expiration of his deal. Garza, who has also held the 24/7 Championship, has been actively involved with Legado Del Fantasma as of late.
Sources within WWE reveal that negotiations have been ongoing between the two parties, with an offer currently on the table from WWE.
At 31 years old, Angel Garza boasts an extensive resume, having showcased his talents in TNA, AAA, and various other promotions. He initially joined WWE in the spring of 2019, adopting the moniker Garza Jr. Interestingly, his given first name is Humberto, coincidentally the name of his tag team partner.
Garza has been a fixture on the Smackdown brand and is scheduled to appear on this weekend’s show. While he would retain the ability to use the “Garza” name outside of WWE, the name “Angel” would remain proprietary to the company.
