Mark Henry’s debut at the AEW Double Or Nothing pay-per-view in 2021 garnered significant attention. However, in the three years since then, some have voiced opinions that he didn’t achieve much within the company and ultimately departed. There seems to be growing sentiment for WWE to consider rehiring Henry.

Reports earlier this week indicated that Henry’s contract with AEW was due to expire last month and many wondered if he was going to leave AEW. That’s exactly what happened, as Henry confirmed he would not be re-signing with the company.

On the latest episode of the Gigantic Pop podcast, Matt Morgan passionately advocated for WWE to rehire Mark Henry for a prominent backstage role. The former TNA World Tag Team Champion emphasized Henry’s keen eye for talent and suggested he could excel in a talent scouting position within the company.

Morgan expressed his willingness to offer Henry whatever compensation he desired, underscoring the value of Henry’s ability to identify budding talent on social media platforms like Twitter and Instagram. He highlighted Henry’s role in nurturing the careers of stars like Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill, asserting that Henry’s talent evaluation skills could be instrumental in shaping the future of WWE.

“I would pay him (Mark Henry) whatever he wanted. Just for his ability to go on Twitter, Instagram and other social media platforms to find these diamonds in the rough and make them become the stars they become. Because Bianca Belair he’s responsible for, Jade Cargill he’s responsible for, and he’s responsible for like five others, I don’t wanna put their name out there yet because they haven’t become stars yet but they are going to be. He’s got an eye for talent. Just Bianca alone, I would throw the house at him. Whatever it took for him to get signed and make him our talent evaluator.”

We’ll have to wait and see where Mark Henry ends up next. There’s always the possibility he could return to WWE and share his vast knowledge with the new generation of WWE Superstars.
