Elias Accuses WWE of Character Theft Involving Seth Rollins & AOP

Elias was a notable example of WWE struggling to find a suitable direction for a specific talent. He was released from WWE last year, and he has now claimed WWE stole one of his ideas.

Ringside News exclusively reported that there was a widespread belief within WWE that Elias’ Ezekiel storyline had a detrimental effect on his career. Regrettably, he was unable to bounce back from it, leading to his eventual release from the company.

Elias shared with Metro.co.uk that he was consistently brainstorming ideas for his character, aiming to enhance its evolution. One concept he was particularly enthusiastic about was the Monday Might Messiah. Elias observed that WWE stole his idea and gave it to Seth Rollins and AOP.

“There was a character that I really thought could have been incredible myself, it was the Monday Might Messiah. And if you realize, Seth Rollins and AOP ended up – for lack of better terms, they just gave it to those guys.”

Despite this, Elias emphasized that there were no hard feelings between him and Rollins. He clarified that his envisioned character would have portrayed him as a cult-like leader with biblical undertones.
