Eddie Kingston has been sidelined with another injury, this time, one that needs surgery. The star has been the heart and soul of AEW and ROH for months now and is considered to be one of the biggest names in the company. Kingston injured himself during a match against Gabe Kidd at NJPW Resurgence.
Since the injury has been announced, it has been revealed that Eddie Kingston is expected to go for surgery soon, but the surgery might be extended up for a few weeks, letting his fracture heal first. Earlier reports also revealed that the surgery might be performed somewhere around the first week of July.
A recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has revealed that the date for the surgery is July 8, with a few months of rehabilitation. Kingston will clearly not be able to be involved in action at AEW All Out 2024.
While Kingston has a long recovery time scheduled now, it can be said that the timeline given could be used efficiently by the former AEW Continental Champion. A decent amount of rest could help get in the shape of his life and return stronger than he was. Stay connected to Ringside News to get the latest updates on the wrestling world.
