AEW continues to undergo quite a few changes since its debut in 2019, but that doesn’t mean it has been smooth sailing for the company. With such a deep roster, fans wonder if a brand split is possible and now we have confirmation in that regard.
AEW held the debut episode of Collision at the United Center in Chicago and before that, many people wondered if there was going to be a proper brand split between the two shows.
During a Q&A session on Fightful Select’s podcast, Sean Ross Sapp was asked about AEW having talks of a brand split. Sapp confirmed there have been no talks of any brand split in AEW at all.
“In AEW? No. That was there before CM Punk and collision, but they didn’t end up doing that. There were actually memos sent out before the Punk-Collision thing.”
AEW continues to sign more and more talented professional wrestlers but many of them still do not get any proper television time, so we’ll have to wait and see whether a brand split will happen in the future.
