AJ Styles Continues Vicious Assault on Cody Rhodes After 5/31 WWE SmackDown

AJ Styles is widely regarded as one of the best pro wrestlers in the world by both fans and his peers. He also pulled a major swerve on Cody Rhodes on the May 31st edition of Friday Night SmackDown and continued his assault on Rhodes after the show ended.

In a memorable segment on SmackDown, AJ Styles took a reflective moment to discuss his career, expressing that he couldn’t envision starting over in his quest for the Undisputed WWE Championship. He touched upon his son’s upcoming graduation, hinting at the importance of prioritizing his role as a father.

Afterwards, Styles summoned the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes to the ring, expressing appreciation for their memorable encounter at WWE Backlash France. However, in a shocking turn of events as the show neared its conclusion, Styles launched a sudden assault on Rhodes, culminating in a devastating Styles Clash from the steel steps onto the mat.

Following the conclusion of Friday Night SmackDown, AJ Styles reunited with Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson, as they all laughed at Cody Rhodes. Right after that, Styles went back and continued to pummel Cody Rhodes even before leaving the arena.

It is evident that Cody Rhodes and AJ Styles will square off against each other again at Clash at The Castle on June 15th, so we will have to wait and see how WWE will book their feud in the coming weeks.
