Under Tony Khan’s leadership, AEW has formed a significant partnership with Warner Bros Discovery for programming. Khan ensures AEW’s content meets Warner Bros Discovery’s standards. This collaboration sparked speculation about a media rights deal, and now AEW’s relationship with Warner Bros Discovery has been revealed differently.

Warner Bros Discovery has proudly served as the home of All Elite Wrestling, broadcasting popular shows such as Dynamite, Rampage, and Collision. The exclusive partnership between AEW and Warner Bros Discovery has been so significant that it resulted in the discontinuation of AEW Dark on YouTube.

It was recently reported that the media rights deal between AEW and Warner Bros Discovery is estimated to be considerably more than $110 million per year, which is a huge deal.

Figures being talked about between WBD and AEW are said to be considerably more than the estimated $110 million per year, or slightly more. That in theory would take AEW into profitable range. Previously, AEW had a 4-year deal worth $175 million, just under $45 million per year.

During a Q&A session on Fightful Select’s podcast, Sean Ross Sapp was asked about the aforementioned estimated deal. It was noted that the relationship between AEW and Warner Bros Discovery is very positive, and they have established good contacts within Warner Bros Discovery.

There have been no negative comments from Warner Bros Discovery about AEW. While it’s possible that this positivity is just for show, overall, the relationship is considered good. Additionally, there are expectations for an extension of the partnership between AEW and Warner Bros Discovery in some capacity.

“As of right now, the relationship is very good and I got some good contacts from WBD. They have NEVER said a negative thing about AEW. Maybe that’s them just painting a pretty picture but it’s good. They’re going to get an extension with WBD in some capacity.”

As discussions progress, the timing of an agreement between AEW and Warner Bros Discovery remains uncertain. However, the prospect of more than $110 million is certainly significant. It remains to be seen whether AEW and Warner Bros Discovery will ultimately agree on this amount.
