Piper Niven’s Attack on Bayley Steals Spotlight from Nia Jax’s Coronation During 5/31 SmackDown

Nia Jax made history this past weekend when she defeated Lyra Valkyria in the finals of the Queen of the Ring tournament to claim the prestigious crown at WWE’s recent PLE, King and Queen of the Ring in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

With her win, Jax now has a guaranteed WWE Women’s Championship opportunity at this year’s SummerSlam event. The Irresistible Force came to tonight’s May 31 edition of SmackDown for her big coronation as the new Queen of the landscape.

Nia Jax took center stage wearing her prestigious crown and got straight to business, commanding her SummerSlam opponent, to confront her in the ring. But as Bayley made her way to the ring, she was ambushed by Piper Niven and Chelsea Green and tossed in the ring.

Niven and Chelsea then turned their focus to Nia Jax announcing that Niven would defeat Bayley for the title and Jax would battle her instead. However, the new queen was not bothered with who the champion would be by SummerSlam and vowed to annihilate them to take the WWE Women’s Championship before walking away from the proceedings.
