Mercedes Mone is all about making bank and taking names, but she is never afraid of standing up for those whom she believes in. Therefore it comes as no surprise she stood up for NBA star Jaylen Brown during a recent controversy.

On ESPN’s First Take, Stephen A. Smith claimed that his NBA sources had texted him, saying Jaylen Brown is not “liked” because of his ego, which impacts his marketability. Brown responded on Twitter, challenging Smith to disclose his sources.

Mercedes Mone also chimed in on Twitter, backing Jaylen Brown and expressing her desire to have conversation with Smith’s source. She questioned the validity of the claims and highlighted her TBS Championship win, adding that she is “super excited” to see Brown win an NBA title.

”Hey @stephenasmith , from one #GOAT to another, The CEO wants to sit down with your source. @FCHWPO , from one superstar to another, I just won my championship & I’m super excited to see you win yours. Keep lifting the game and the community the way you’ve been doing. Go Celtics 💚”
