WWE is known to be the land of opportunity for athletes of all shapes and sizes. Amidst the land of behemoths, giants, technically gifted and high-flying stars, the company also featured small-sized athletes as on-screen talents.

The most notable of them was Hornswoggle. He was one of the most popular and comedic acts during the late 2000s and early 2010s after debuting with WWE Legend Finlay and even was involved in a high-profile storyline with former WWE chairman Vince McMahon.

Moreover, Hornswoggle was also a part of the infamous WeeLC match at the WWE Extreme Rules show in 2024. The match filled with small-sized foreign objects featured various midget wrestlers and his rival going into the match, El Torito, the bull mascot of the former tag team, Los Matadors.

During an exclusive interview Steve Fall for Ringside News, Los Matador member and former WWE superstar Primo Colon applauded the small-sized men for putting on a stellar performance in the match despite being perceived to only be a hilarious act by fans and critics alike.

“Just because they are small in stature … don’t … you can’t discredit their talent and they definately demonstrated that night, ‘hey you guys are little guys but you guys can tear the house down’ and that is exactly what they did.”

El Torito now works in the Mini-Estrella division as part of midget wrestling, while Hornswoggle recently revealed his reason for not being part of the action anymore. While the match would always remain memorable, surely, Primo Colon’s comments added much-deserved credibility to it and the small-sized men who competed in it.
