WrestleMania 40 took place on April 6 and 7 at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, with a behind-the-scenes documentary titled WrestleMania XL: Behind the Curtain being made to cover the event’s buildup.

Initially advertised after Night One of the grand spectacle, the documentary’s release was delayed due to the vast amount of footage shot over the weekend. A new update on April 11 cited this as the reason for the postponement.

Further speculation suggested that the delay was because TKO Board member, The Rock had the final say of approval on the project, though this claim was questionable. Not only that, The Rock was also reportedly annoyed by the narrative that followed on the road to WrestleMania recently.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there is significant talk about the delay, which was originally scheduled to air nearly two months ago and still lacks an air date and the rumored need for The Rock’s clearance was also debunked. Lastly, it was also mentioned that the real reason for the delay is known to only a few people.

The documentary, focusing on the two-night event and the storyline involving Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, and The Rock, was initially set to premiere on the WWE YouTube channel on April 10, 2024. However, there is still no word on its air date as mentioned, so the fans will have to wait for the special behind-the-scenes look for what was known as “The Biggest WrestleMania of all time.”
