Ronda Rousey departed WWE following her SummerSlam match against Shayna Baszler last year. Since then, she has been open and candid about her tenure in the company, frequently sharing negative remarks about her WWE journey.

At one point, Ronda Rousey was significantly unhappy in WWE, feeling that things had not unfolded as promised. Upon her return to the company, she had a clear vision of how she wished to be booked, but it didn’t align with reality. She had envisioned a match against Becky Lynch at WrestleMania, yet it didn’t materialize. Despite her desire for her plans to come to fruition, WWE pursued their own direction and did not adhere to her preferences.

In her autobiography, Our Fight, Ronda Rousey recalled a poignant conversation with Triple H. Rousey expressed her desire to tag with Shayna, have her turn on her, and then put her over before leaving.

Rousey emphasized the importance of making this happen before SummerSlam. Overwhelmed with emotion, Rousey struggled to contain her tears as she conveyed her frustrations to Triple H. She also blasted Triple H for his ‘minimum effort booking’ in WWE and ultimately, she made it clear to Triple H she was just tired.

“Listen, I told you I’d be here until SummerSlam,” I said. “And I’m a woman of my word, but I’m done after this. All I wanted when I got into this business was to tag with Shayna, have her turn on me, then put her over before I leave. We have until SummerSlam to make that happen. After that, I’m done being associated with this minimum effort lazy-ass s***show.” I could feel my lip quivering, I was so worked up it took everything I had to hold back tears. He shook his head like someone who silently shared my frustration.

“OK, I get,” he said. “I get it.” I nodded, indicating I had said my piece. I moved to leave, when he stretched out his hand, I thought to shake mine. Instead, he leaned in, gently touching my arm. He dipped his head, looking up at me. His tone shifted from authority figure to friend. “But how are you?” he asked sincerely. I burst into tears. Not just crying, but bawling. “I’m so tired,” I said. “I’m so tired that I feel like it’s changing my personality. I’m so much more anxious, stressed, negative, like butter scraped over too much bread.”

Ronda Rousey also wanted the same travel privileges as Roman Reigns. However, Rousey has been labeled bitter woman for her anti-WWE remarks, and it’s not hard to understand why. Regardless, Rousey is far more focused on her other career right now, so pro wrestling doesn’t really matter to her anymore.
