Becky Lynch recently dropped her Women’s World Championship to Liv Morgan at WWE King & Queen of the Ring. Eager for revenge, Lynch sought a rematch against Morgan on RAW this week but suffered another defeat. As her contract expiry looms, it appears her next plans have been revealed.
Becky Lynch’s contract with WWE is set to expire this week, potentially making her latest appearance on RAW her last before signing a new deal with the company. It has become evident that she won’t be re-signing with WWE right now.
On the May 27 edition of RAW, Lynch failed to regain the Women’s World Championship, leaving fans speculating whether this marked the end of her WWE tenure. Fans immediately started wondering what Becky Lynch’s next move would be.
While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talked about Becky Lynch’s plans after her WWE contract expires. It was noted that Lynch plans on taking an extended leave, likely for a long period of time. It was further added that with Seth Rollins not on the road either, it simply makes no sense for Becky Lynch.
“She’s taking an extended leave, that’s what I was told. It’s not for a short period of time. It’s for a long period of time. If he’s [Seth Rollins] not on the road, it makes since for her not to be on the road. They can’t be hurting for money right now, like they need it now.”
Tony Khan has also addressed potentially signing Becky Lynch. Nevertheless, we’ll have to wait and see what Becky Lynch will do during her absence from pro wrestling, as fans also feel it is something she really needs.
