Becky Lynch, a stalwart in the wrestling industry, recently lost her Women’s World Championship to Liv Morgan at WWE King & Queen of the Ring. Seeking redemption, Lynch faced Morgan in a rematch on RAW this week but was defeated once again. Amidst her contract expiry, Tony Khan has addressed signing Becky Lynch.

Becky Lynch’s contract with WWE is set to expire this week, potentially making her latest appearance on RAW her last before signing a new deal with the company. While Lynch has yet to re-sign, her departure would be a significant surprise.

On the May 27 edition of RAW, Lynch failed to regain the Women’s World Championship, leaving fans speculating whether this marked the end of her WWE tenure. Many are also curious if she might make a move to AEW next.

Appearing on The Rich Eisen Show, AEW President Tony Khan was asked about signing free agents, specifically from WWE. After discussing the signings of Mercedes Mone and Adam Copeland, Khan stated he would be “open to” signing more free agents and believed there would be interest from talent.

Eisen pointed out that Khan didn’t mention anyone by name, speculating if he was concerned about tampering. Khan made it clear that he would not be doing any contract tampering of any sort.

“I don’t want to try to tamper and do those things. I try to keep it classy and I really have a reputation for honesty and I really want to be a fair businessman. The wrestling business is a really cut-throat business.”

When Eisen mentioned Becky Lynch, noting that she would reportedly be a free agent soon, and asked if Khan would be interested in her, Khan replied, “You invoked the tampering word.”

Chris Jericho also addressed Becky Lynch potentially signing with AEW. We have also reported the possibility of Becky Lynch making her way to AEW. Only time will tell whether Lynch will end up taking a long break from WWE and end up signing a lucrative contract with them eventually.
