Adam Copeland and Malakai Black tore the house down at AEW Double or Nothing in their Barbed Wire Steel Cage match with Copeland emerging victorious and retaining his AEW TNT championship with a little assistance from his old ally Gangrel who helped him win the match.

While The Rated-R superstar did walk away as the winner, Copeland did not walk out without injury. Following rumors that ran rapid, Adam Copeland himself admitted to the fact that he injured his tibia and would require surgery for the same.

On tonight’s May 29 edition on AEW Dynamite, EVPs, The Young Bucks alongside Kazuchika Okada and Jack Perry came out to address the issue after reflecting on their own win at Double or Nothing in Anarchy in the Arena match.

Matthew Jackson announced that Adam Copeland was stripped off the TNT Championship and they proceeded to make Jack Perry the new champion. However, it was cut short by the arrival of Christopher Daniels who was named the new EVP by Tony Khan. He stated that the TNT title will not be given by earned, and the new title holder will be decided at Forbidden Door in a ladder match after a series of qualifying matches.

With The Elite not happy, they proceeded to attack Christopher only for his backup, The Acclaimed to arrive in just the nick of time.
