MJF’s extended absence from AEW television had wrestling fans speculating about his future, especially since his last appearance was at AEW Worlds End last year. However, fans were in for a surprise when The Salt of the Earth made his shocking return at Double or Nothing.

Before MJF’s entrance at the event, the man who took him out months prior, Adam Cole appeared immediately following the intense match between Will Ospreay and Roderick Strong. He took the microphone to address his recovery and brought back his iconic Devil Mask.

Just as he was about to lead the crowd in his trademark ‘Adam Cole Bay Bay’ chant, the arena went dark, and a video began to play, revealing a corridor leading to a room filled with relics of a long-absent AEW star, later revealed to be MJF who made his shocking return.

As he entered the ring, there was a glimmer of hope for reconciliation with Cole, only for MJF to deliver a brutal low blow, sending Cole crashing to the mat in agony. MJF seized the moment to assert his dominance and announced his loyalty to the company, AEW in his quest to reclaim his spot at the top of the roster.
