At the AEW Double or Nothing event, Willow Nightingale seemingly lost everything she held dear to her heart. Firstly, it was her TBS Championship that she dropped to the debuting Mercedes Mone after a classic showdown.

Following her title loss, she was berated by her ally, Stokely Hathaway only for her friend Kris Statlander to come to her aid. But as the duo were exiting ringside, Statlander shocked the audience by attacking Willow and standing tall over her alongside Stokely Hathaway.

On tonight’s May 29 edition of AEW Dynamite, Statlander, and Hathaway first came out to announce Trent Beretta as the newest member of the Don Callis Family who blindsided Orange Cassidy with an attack. As Renee Paquette announced that he was being evaluated, Stokely and Kris interrupted her to explain their actions from Double or Nothing.

Stokely took the fans back to four weeks earlier when Willow Nightingale became No.1 contender for the TBS championship by winning a fatal 4-way match also featuring Kris Statlander. He claimed that Willow did not listen to Kris’ desire to be champion, while Statlander labeled her as selfish.

This led to Stokely Hathaway choosing to side with Kris Statlander and the duo chose Double or Nothing as the moment to strike on Willow Nightingale while choosing to move ahead without her in the future.
