Sammy Guevara Seemingly Gunning for TNT Title After Adam Copeland Injury

Sammy Guevara has been a familiar face on AEW television since his debut in 2019. Despite his prominence, Guevara has faced controversy, including incidents that led to injuries of his opponents and a subsequent suspension. Recently, Guevara hinted at pursuing the TNT title, especially in light of Adam Copeland’s injury.

Sammy Guevara was serving suspension due to his role in a match against Jeff Hardy on February 14th. Thankfully, The Spanish God’s suspension was lifted earlier this month, but he has yet to return to AEW television.

Adam Copeland revealed that he suffered fractured tibia following a dangerous spot at AEW Double or Nothing and will be out of action for a long time. Therefore, it’s evident he will have to relinquish the title.

In light of Adam Copeland’s unfortunate news, Sammy Guevara took to Twitter and uploaded a photo of himself with the TNT Championship, as he seemingly hinted at returning to AEW television in order to become the new TNT Champion.

Sammy Guevara is already a multi-time TNT Champion, so he knows how to take it to the next level. We will have to wait and see whether The Spanish God will end up returning to AEW television soon enough.
