In 2020, Matt Cardona encountered an unexpected setback when he was released from WWE. However, he used this release as motivation to carve out a successful career in the indies, becoming one of the biggest names in the scene. Unfortunately, he also experienced a torn pec injury recently. Cardona has since revealed that he underwent a unique treatment for his injury, injecting hundreds of millions of stem cells.
Matt Cardona was set to undergo surgery for a debilitating injury—a torn pectoral muscle. His condition affected his plans to compete in wXw Germany’s Drive of Champions show in June. Last month, Matt Cardona finally underwent the surgery as well.
The Indy God took to his Instagram and uploaded a video of himself getting stem cell treatment, as he revealed he had 400 million stem cells injected throughout his body to speed up his recovery progress.
”Just got 50 MILLION stem cells injected into my surgically repaired pec at @rejuvstem!
400 MILLION stem cells throughout my body. It’s only a matter of time before I’m #AlwayzReady!
I’m not coming for your spot. I’m coming to create my own.”
Within Game Changer Wrestling, he took on the role of the promotion’s on-screen General Manager. Regardless, it remains to be seen when the former GCW World Champion will make his triumphant return to the squared circle.
