Jack Perry made his way to NJPW a while ago and shocked fans with his performance there, but his AEW return was inevitable as he came back at Dynasty last month. He aligned himself with The Elite and competed at Double or Nothing, where he got burned by Darby Allin. In light of this, his health status has now been revealed.
The Anarchy in the Arena match at Double or Nothing began with intense brutality, as The Elite and Team AEW clashed throughout the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, battling from the crowd to backstage.
At one point during the match, Jack Perry grabbed AEW President Tony Khan from the gorilla position. Darby Allin then used a flamethrower to set Perry on fire, though he was only ablaze for a few seconds before being extinguished.
While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez talked about Jack Perry’s condition following the flamethrower spot. It was reported that Perry emerged from the show unscathed.
“I think most everybody probably figured out Jack Perry was fine. They drenched him, I’m sure in whatever, and you know, did the whole flamethrower spot, but I remember watching that thinking, man, you’re letting this guy on fire, and the Young Bucks are like the firemen. I mean, they’re the ones responsible for putting this guy out. They did. They put them out, and they put out the flamethrower, and apparently, it was totally fine. No issues. And so that was good news.”
In the end, The Elite reigned supreme over Team AEW as Jack Perry pinned Bryan Danielson. Regardless, we will have to wait and see what’s next in store for The Elite now that they have asserted their dominance in the company.
