Willow Nightingale entered tonight’s AEW Double or Nothing pay-per-view with everything to gain but was left with nothing after a shocking turn of events. Following Kris Statlander’s betrayal, Nightingale has finally broken her silence on the matter.
Nightingale defended her AEW TBS Championship against her long-time rival Mercedes Mone in her debut match for Tony Khan’s company. Willow was supported by her friends, Kris Statlander and Stokely Hathaway, who were in her corner.
The match was highly captivating, keeping the audience on the edge of their seats. However, due to some miscommunication and a perfectly timed Mone Maker, Mercedes Mone secured the win and became the new TBS Champion.
As Mercedes celebrated her victory, tension flared between Willow, Kris, and Stokely. Stokely criticized Willow for her loss, prompting Kris to shove him to the mat.
The night took an even darker turn when Kris, while seemingly leaving with Willow, suddenly attacked her. Stokely joined in the betrayal, and they posed over the fallen Willow Nightingale, who had lost her championship and her friends in quick succession.
The former TBS Champion took to Twitter and finally broke her silence on the matter as she kept it short and sweet but as she simply dropped a huge f-bomb to encapsulate what she felt.
”Well f***”
We will have to wait and see how AEW will book Willow Nightingale and Kris Statlander’s feud in the coming weeks, as it is very evident the feud will be an incredibly personal one considering how close they used to be.
