AEW presented an action-packed night in Las Vegas with one of the biggest pay-per-views of their calendar, AEW Double or Nothing. The night was main evented by the AEW Championship match where Swerve Strickland defended his title against former WWE superstar Christian Cage.
With Christian having a lot of issues with his former friend, Adam Copeland lately, he completely shifted his focus over to the AEW Championship over the last few weeks. Both Swerve and Cage have built an intense rivalry in recent weeks and had attained a lot of attraction for their match at the pay-per-view.
As anticipated, their match turned out to be a total show stealer with a lot of action and storytelling. In an intense and action-packed battle, both men tore each other apart to get to the top of the entire men’s roster.
Swerve ended up retaining his title against Christian at AEW Double or Nothing, but has a lot more to do to solidify his reign as the AEW Champion. On the other hand, Christian might move over to a new feud in the next few weeks, before getting back into the title picture.
